Kunverge helps you collect, process, and organise information efficiently while browsing. Whether you’re researching, summarising, or organising content, Kunverge simplifies the process with AI-powered assistance.

This guide walks you through the setup and usage of Kunverge so you can make the most of it. Take a look at some practical use cases here. 

You can access the Kunverge tutorial anytime though the Tutorial button at the bottom of the Kunverge popup screen.

1. Settings

Before you start using Kunverge, it’s important to configure your settings for the best experience.

Left-Click Selection

Explained below in Section 3 Main UI – Capturing Text

API Key

To use AI processing, you need to provide your own API key.

  • Navigate to the Settings tab in Kunverge.
  • Enter your API key from OpenAI or Claude.
  • The best recommended model for performance and cost is GPT-4o Mini.

 

 

AI Providers

Kunverge supports multiple AI providers.

  • OpenAI (GPT models)
  • Anthropic (Claude models)

You can choose which provider to use in the Settings tab.

 

 

 

 

Models

Different AI models are available based on the provider you choose.

We recommend using GPT-4o Mini, which balances cost and performance

2. AI Settings

Kunverge gives you control over how AI processes text. Here’s what each setting means:

Temperature

  • Controls the randomness of the AI response.
  • Lower values (e.g., 0.2) make the output more deterministic.
  • Higher values (e.g., 0.8) make responses more creative.

Top P

  • Adjusts how much randomness is introduced when selecting words.
  • Lower values (e.g., 0.1) make the AI stick to the most likely words.
  • Higher values (e.g., 0.9) allow more variation.

Frequency Penalty

  • Prevents AI from repeating itself too often.
  • Higher values discourage repetition in responses.

Presence Penalty

  • Encourages the AI to introduce new ideas.
  • A higher value makes responses more diverse.

Adjust these settings based on your needs. If unsure, use the default values.

3. Main UI – Capturing Text

Kunverge provides four ways to capture text from webpages.

How to Get Text into Kunverge

1️⃣ Get All Text – Click the “Get All Text” button to extract text from all open tabs.
2️⃣ Get Text from This Tab – Click the “Get Text from This Tab” button to extract only from the current tab.
3️⃣ Right-Click Save – Select text, right-click, and choose “Send to Kunverge.”
4️⃣ Left-Click Selection – select and simply left click on any text, and Kunverge will automatically capture it.

Once text is captured, you can:
✔ Save to Google Drive
✔ Export to a file
✔ Copy to clipboard
✔ Process with AI

 

 

 

 

 

Open Selected URLs

If you’ve gathered text from multiple tabs, you can reopen all those tabs using the “Open Selection URLs in Browser” button.

4. Processing Content with AI

After capturing text, you can process it using AI.

When using AI, you can reference your earlier captured selections by using {selections} or {selection} in your prompt.

Example: To extract key insights from selections in reddit

📝 “Analyze {selections} and extract key insights based on user interactions. Answer the following questions:

  1. Pain Points: Identify recurring frustrations, challenges, or common issues users mention. Summarize them concisely.
  2. Most Asked Topic: Determine the most frequently discussed or inquired-about topic. Explain why it stands out.
  3. Top Users: List the names of users who are asking the most questions or engaging the most. Rank them if possible.
  4. General Mood: Assess the overall sentiment of the discussions. Indicate whether users seem frustrated, satisfied, neutral, or excited. Provide a brief explanation.

Provide a structured response in bullet points for clarity. If possible, quantify insights (e.g., percentages, frequency counts) to support findings.“

The AI will process all the selected text and return answer.  

Once AI has processed your text, you can:
✔ Save the response to Google Drive
✔ Export it as a file
✔ Copy it to the clipboard

Or if you selected OpenAI or Claude Web Account. A new browser tab will open with you signed in to your account. (You must have signed in before using Web Account option).
The text selection will be attached as a text file and your prompt will appear along with an instruction about what {selections} are to the AI. All you have to do now is press send.
